I had my first day at Oops with Emily Bosence who recently set up her own fashion business so it's really interesting to get an insight into how everything works. Pictured above is a new group called Gaggle in NME magazine this week all wearing Oops clothing, they approached Emily to commission her hooded dress design for their whole group! Emily specializes in using bold bright african/new rave print fabric mixed with grey tweeds and colourful linings. Being thrifty with her finds to make the most out of the fabric, using off cuts of make panels for smaller garments and accessories.

I bought this sequin top off ebay but never wore it so decided to turn it into a jacket to get more wear out of it. Just sewed two lines up the centre, so the sequins would not fall off, then cut inbetween them. Maybe it will get it's first trip out in Brighton this week, although judging by the weather maybe not! It's boiling!

Illustration special at V&A LAte Night Friday. This was an 'illustration off' between Drunk Uncle and some other people! The other peoples drawings worked well together as they all had different styles which complimented each other well, scruffy drawings mixed with neat line drawing and text, this teams was my favoutrite. Unfortunately didn't see the final piece as it encroached on the Julie Verhoeven talk and was then dismantled into small sections for people to take home. Julie Verhoeven pics to follow along with photos of the Royal College of Art's 2008 fashion graduate pieces which were on display at the V&A.
Helped the 3rd years with their graduate fashion show on Thursday, dressing the models for the catwalk. A lot more hectic than I had anticipated! Xanthe and I had three models to dress between us but turns out you need two dressers for one model as had about three seconds to change them! Think it all went well and look forward to seeing the film of it.

Created mini top hat for BeachBreak final night fancy dress as erm, mystical flower creature. I really wanted to stick the bird, my friend Jo got me for Christmas, to a hat. I'm not sure if I should use that many commas. The hat went down a treat at the festival, have one commission piece to make as a result from it. Score. It invovled an accessorize mini top hat, vintage fabric, roses, thread and a glue gun! Must ask Jo where bird originated from......
